We take great pride in milling high quality Colorado Timber. Our process is simple we lay our hands on every board that comes off our band mill and we sort for the best lumber material possible to complete each individual order. Our Baker Band Sawmill is a very accurate mill that produces lumber that is true from one end to the other. We start by sorting and cutting logs to length we cut all our logs 4″ to 6″ long of the desired lengths giving our customers plenty of room to true up the end of the boards. Then the logs that have been selected for your order goes to the mill. We then hand sort the Rough Cut lumber material as it comes off the sawmill for your order.
We then carefully stack and sticker the material to start the drying process. Some material can be finished to the proper moisture content by air drying while other units are prepared to go to our Solar Kiln or our Dehydration Kiln. After the lumber material is to the proper moisture content it goes to our Molder/Planer to be made into T&G, S4S, Shiplap and Flooring.
We then put your order into the proper units that are banded with protective corners. So if your tired of the quality of material you get from the big box stores try out some Colorado processed lumber.
